Rushy Hide

The Lapwing family continues to survive on the wildflower meadow, all three chicks present and correct this morning. A pair of nesting Oystercatcher at least two pairs of Avocet still on nests. The female Wigeon and hybrid male partner.

Tack Piece

Ten Sand Martin and 6 Swallow fed over the scrape this morning.

Egyptian Goose, 29 Canada Geese, 20 Greylag Geese, pair of Shoveler, 10 drake Gadwall and the last drake Wigeon of the winter. Four Ringed Plover and a Dunlin were present at 2.15pm.

A female Marsh Harrier passed through at 1130am.

Holden Tower

53 Avocets, 5 Lapwing and numerous Skylarks on the Dumbles.

Duck Decoy

A pair of Oystercatcher have two chicks near Gulf Hide, they nested on the roof.

South Lake

71 Black-tailed Godwit, a male Ruff (blackish ruff now appearing), 4 Avocet, 140 pairs of Black-headed Gull, pair of Mediterranean Gull and Great Crested Grebe among the highlights. Crane pair Bart and Ruby remain on the nest site.

Zeiss Hide/Top New Piece

A Red Kite went over at 1.15pm.
