Join us for a summer of wild adventure

Dusty Duck is back for another adventure-packed summer of outdoor fun with Dusty’s Wildlife Rangers at WWT Washington Wetland Centre.

Children can grab their FREE Wildlife Ranger logbook on arrival throughout the holidays and take on loads of exciting challenges while recording their findings and experiences – just like real-life rangers. Complete them all and receive a Dusty’s Super Wildlife Ranger sticker as a take-home reminder of your wild day out!

Plus, learn hands-on wetland bushcraft skills at our NEW Ranger Camp – with a different activity each day.

Join us for mini-beast hunts, animal tracking sessions and willow crafting. Or why not have a go at map reading, pond dipping, den building or habitat creation? Look out for details of what’s happening on the day you visit!

John Gowland, one of WWT’s real-life rangers, said: “I love being a wildlife ranger for WWT and helping to care for and protect our amazing wetland wildlife.

“We thought families would welcome the chance to experience what it’s like to be a ranger through special camps and fun-packed, mini adventures, which include activities that I do as part of my day to day job.

“Hopefully, we’ll also inspire some of our younger visitors to become the wildlife rangers of the future, helping to create a world where healthy wetland nature thrives and enriches lives.”

Don’t miss our daily Asian short-clawed otter talks (11.30am and 3pm), incredible flock of pink Chilean flamingos and the chance to hand-feed some of the rarest geese in the world too. It’s a full day out for the whole family!

Dusty's Wildlife Rangers runs from Saturday 21 July-Sunday 2 September. No need to book and cost is included in admission. To save 10%, book your visit online now and to join in the social fun, follow #wildliferangers
