About me

I am a sustainability professional with over 20 years of experience working in environmental sustainability supporting organisations to identify, manage and minimise their sustainability impacts.

I have worked for the Environment Agency (including implementing their organisation wide ISO14001 and EMAS certifications) and the NHS.

Most recently I worked as a waste management consultant and Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) working for NHS and healthcare research clients (universities, veterinary facilities etc.) generating healthcare waste.

I have a BSc. In Environmental Biology and an MSc. in Environmental Technology.

I am a Full Member (Chartered Waste Manager) of the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management (IEMA).

For eight years, I was a non-executive Director of the Thames Valley Energy Agency (TVenergy.org), an organisation that promoted and facilitated practical sustainable renewable energy solutions and provide education for communities, businesses, organisations and individuals within the Thames Valley and beyond.


I have been in post at WWT since August 2016.My role as Sustainability Manager is to identify and manage the Trust’s sustainability impacts, particularly in relation to environmental and social impacts.

Broadly the three main areas of my role include performance (reducing our impacts), compliance (with environmental legislation) and communication (training, awareness raising etc.).
