We’re looking forward to welcoming you back and have everything in place so you have the best day out.
We’ve been accredited with the ‘Good to Go’ stamp of approval, which means we are operating within government guidelines and public health guidance for managing coronavirus risk.
We’re carefully managing the number of people on site and have a booking system in place. All gates can be pushed open and hand washing stations are available around the grounds meaning you can wander around safely enjoying the wildlife. Our toilets are open and cleaned regularly, as are the gates, hand rails, benches and signage.
When you arrive, have a chat to our friendly team of volunteers who are there to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have a fantastic day out. To limit touch points and keep you safe we’re asking everyone to pay by card where possible. In line with government guidance are asking that face masks be worn in all indoor spaces.
Before you set off on your wetland adventure, why not take a picture of our map to help you explore.
If you want to beat the queues why not arrive a little earlier in the day. Early risers will be rewarded with the glorious sounds of spring bird song and a chance to catch our wetland wildlife waking. Or if you’d rather arrive later in the day, we are open until 5pm, with our reserve closing at 4.30pm.
Under current guidance our hides are classed as indoor spaces, and so are closed, but there is still lots of wildlife out there to see. We'll get them open just as soon as we can do so safely, and within accordance with guidance. Read more about our latest sightings and our seasonal wildlife highlights for hints and tips to really make the most of your time here.
