Kilmood Art Club exhibition
Kilmood Art club was set up in the local area over 30 years ago to encourage artists working in all media to get together to paint, watch visiting artist demonstrations, and hold exhibitions.
Kilmood Art Club originally met in Kilmood, near Comber until Covid restrictions then moved the meetings into the Community Centre in Parkway, Comber. The club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month for painting nights and demonstrations by visiting artists.
Membership is increasing and new members are welcome anytime for an annual subscription. The contact form on the Club's website is a great way to get in touch as is Kilmood Art Club's Facebook page. Prospective members are also welcome to come along a couple of times before joining to experience the meetings and meet other members.Kilmood Art Club is run by a Committee whose members agree and organise the annual programme, exhibitions and the AGM.
The Kilmood Art Club exhibition at Castle Espie takes place every two years with artwork for sale. The official opening takes place with a well-known artist who judges and awards the overall prize and commendations. A prize is also awarded for the artwork which is voted the public favourite during the exhibition.
See the exhibition in the Castle Espie Gallery until 6th October.
