February Half Term Excitement!
Sat 17 February - Sun 25 February
All day - Practice puddle jumping
This is a self-guided activity and gives you the chance to practice your technique in preparation for your entry to the WWT Welsh Puddle Jumping championship!
Dusty's Puddle Jumping Competition will be held at 2pm daily!
Make your very own den entirely out of willow from the wetlands. This is a self-guided activity but there will be dens already made to give you some ideas. We'd love to see your own creations!
11am - 12pm - Wildfowl Wonders Workshop
How do birds keep warm and dry in winter? How are they adapted to wetland life? Get the answers to these questions and more as you join our team to examine bones, feathers, diet and other key areas of our feathered-friends’ lives. What will you discover?
1pm - 2pm - Family bird watching
Join us in the observatory to use binoculars and a telescope to watch the birds. Use books and ID guides to identify them, and see how many different species you can spot! This session is suitable for adults and children of all ages. Our guide will be happy to answer any questions you have and help you become more confident in bird identification, as well as assisting young children using binoculars for the first time.
2pm - 4.30pm - Craft workshop
Come along to our drop-in craft session and make some wonderful wetland souvenirs to take away with you. A small charge applies to cover the cost of materials.
