Simply put, Mindfulness is taking the time to pay more attention to the present moment. It can be a useful tool to help us deal with stress and to understand ourselves better. Get outdoors and allow yourself to 'get out of your head' in the great outdoors as you become aware of all the natural sights, sounds and smells that surround you in the wonderful wetlands.
Learn to use a variety of mindfulness approaches under the guidance of Becky from Scatter Joy Holistics in this two-hour session that will inspire you to connect with both yourself and the environment using movement, creativity, meditation and more.
Becky will go into detail about the science behind mindfulness and share evidence of the health & wellbeing benefits of nature connection. You'll also be taught activities that you can do wherever you are, so this is just the start of your mindfulness journey!
The session will include some walking and sitting on the ground, so please dress for the weather on the day. Some cover will be provided for those who do not want to sit directly on the ground, but you will be encouraged to do so!
