Just because it’s raining doesn’t mean you have to stay at home. Put on your coat and come to London Wetland Centre – we’ve got plenty of things to do for adults and children alike, undercover or indoors. And of course, it’s lovely weather for ducks…

Our heated, two storey Observatory provides panoramic views across the lake and reserve so you can indulge in a spot of bird watching while keeping dry and warm.

We have six wildlife hides dotted around the centre so wrap up warm and come out for a day of wildlife-watching; the ducks and water voles won’t mind that it’s raining!

Children will love the Discovery Centre, an indoor play zone that takes you on a journey through the wetlands of the world. Our high-tech Pond Zone has three great features all of which are undercover, and they can take a trip Down the Plughole to follow water on its journey from sink and toilet, through a real sewer pipe, into the wetlands.

Even if you do get a bit damp or chilly you can warm up in our Water’s Edge Cafe. Enjoy a hot meal, drink or a bowl of soup. Go on, treat yourself to a slice of cake, you’ve earned it! And before you head home enjoy a spot of retail therapy in our Gift Shop – it’s a wildlife treasure trove.
