We're Good to Go

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back and have everything in place so you have the best day out.

We’ve been accredited with the ‘Good to Go’ stamp of approval, which means we are operating within government guidelines and public health guidance for managing coronavirus risk.

We’re carefully managing the number of people on site and have a booking system in place. Gates can be pushed open with hand washing stations and hand dryers available. Our toilets are open and cleaned regularly. All the gates, hand rails, benches and signage are cleaned regularly throughout the day.


When you arrive, have a chat to our friendly team who are there to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have a fantastic day out. To limit touch points and keep you safe we’re asking everyone to pay by card where possible.

Why not arrive a little earlier and make the most of your day. Early risers will be rewarded with the glorious sounds of spring bird song. Or if you’d rather arrive later in the day, we are open until 5:00pm, last admission is at 4:00pm.

Plan your wetland adventure

Summer is a great time to visit and experience nature at its very best with 105 acres of wetland paradise to enjoy.

Play areas

Our outdoors play areas are open between 9:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:00. They're cleaned regularly, so they're safe for children to enjoy. They can play water games, including flower shower and duck racing – and discover giant water vole tunnels!

The Discovery Centre will be open from 19 July 2021, with villages to build, wetlands to explore, water cannons to shoot, and beat the clock water use games.

Eat, drink, shop

We have a selection of take away hot and cold snacks, drinks and ice creams available from our outdoor kiosk for you to enjoy on-the-go to fuel your wetland adventure. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drink and make use of our well-spaced picnic benches to enjoy your snacks in the great outdoors.

Our Kingfisher Kitchen is perfect to relax and refuel with locally grown produce seasonal food and drinks, delicious meals or tempting snacks.

The retail shop is open offering a gorgeous selection of gifts, fun toys, informative books and good value bird food and feeding accessories.
