We’ve been accredited with the ‘Good to Go’ stamp of approval, which means we are operating within government guidelines and public health guidance for managing coronavirus risk.
We’re carefully managing the number of people on site and have a booking system in place. Gates can be pushed open with hand washing stations and hand dryers available. Our toilets are open and cleaned regularly. All the gates, hand rails, benches and signage are cleaned regularly throughout the day.
When you arrive, have a chat to our friendly team who are there to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have a fantastic day out. To limit touch points and keep you safe we’re asking everyone to pay by card where possible.
Why not arrive a little earlier and make the most of your day. Early risers will be rewarded with the glorious sounds of spring bird song. Or if you’d rather arrive later in the day, we are open until 5:00pm, last admission is at 4:00pm.
Wildlife hides and spotting
More detailed and recent government guidance, issued this week, means that hides must remain closed until 17 May at the earliest (step 3 of the roadmap). We’re working to open up or make accessible other outdoor areas rich in wildlife to let you have as many wildlife watching opportunities as possible. As soon as we have details of what’s available we’ll post them here.

Plan your wetland adventure
Spring is a great time to visit and experience nature at its very best with 105 acres of wetland paradise to enjoy.
Our play areas are open between 9:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:00. They're cleaned regularly, so they're safe for children to enjoy.
Eat, drink, shop
We have a selection of take away hot and cold snacks, drinks and ice creams available from our outdoor kiosk for you to enjoy on-the-go to fuel your wetland adventure. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drink and make use of our well-spaced picnic benches to enjoy your snacks in the great outdoors.
The retail shop is open offering a gorgeous selection of gifts, fun toys, informative books and good value bird food and feeding accessories.
To limit touch points and keep you safe we’re asking everyone to pay by card where possible and in line with government guidance are asking that face masks be worn in all indoor spaces.
