Spring time means a baby boom at Martin Mere! Visit us during May half term for a chance to see the whole egg-to-duckling process.
During May half term and weekends in June, our on-site duckery will be open to the public to come and see where ducklings spend the first few months of their life before they are moved into our grounds. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to chat about the nursery and the variety of ducklings we have at the centre.
Throughout half term, make sure you pop into our Exhibition Hall to see and hold a variety of eggs and learn about the different nests birds build. We'll also have a live video feed of eggs just about to hatch and two brooders set up which allows you to get up close to newly-hatched ducklings.
