Sat 21 October - Sun 29 October
Spooky goings on are happening at our Wetland Centre during Halloween!
Grab your witches hat and your broomstick for a week of spooky fun at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre. All through half term week, we have lots of exciting things going on for Halloween this year. We'll have a ghostly host of activities including…
Pumpkin Carving (Saturday 21 - Tuesday 24 October) - £3.50 per pumpkin: create the creepiest face you can, ready to scare trick or treaters on the spookiest night of them all
Lantern Decorating (Wednesday 25 - Sunday 29 October) - £3 per lantern: choose a beastly bat or an ‘orrible owl lantern and paint them nice and bright, so they keep the ghouls at bay
Please note: For our paid activities, drop-in sessions will run 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm. Payment can be taken at admissions or in the shop.
We’ll also be running a number of fun and creepy craft activities in the area outside of the cinema, all of which will be included with admission. These include:
- Pot Yuck – root around in grubby leaf litter and sticks in search of creepy crawlies
- Pondering Poop – get up close to proper poo and work out who it belongs to
- Gruesome Battish Bake Off – create your most gruesome and disgusting cake recipe and draw a picture of what the finished mixed-up masterpiece would look like
- Eyeball Bingo – peer into our squishy squashy jar of eyeballs and guess how many are staring back
We’ll also still have the GIANT Top Trumps trail running throughout the grounds, to get people out and about over the holiday.
Activities other than those specified are free with admission to the centre. Book online to receive a 10% discount. Under 4's come free!
