Dusty's Puddle Jumping Championships
Sat 10 February - Sun 18 February
Make a BIG SPLASH this half term!
This February half term, children of all ages are being encouraged to grab their wellies, get outside and join in the puddle jumping championship being held at Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
The competition will commence each day throughout the holiday at 2pm in Wellyboot Land, with the winners announced after each competition. With the help of Dusty Duck, children will be encouraged to make waves and create the biggest, craziest splash possible.
Dusty was exclusively designed by the world-famous Aardman studios to help celebrate WWT’s 70th anniversary, with the aim of getting children closer to nature.
Children will compete against each other to see who can produce the biggest splash from their puddle jump. They will also be judged on a range of other criteria including height of splash, enthusiasm, jumping style, creativity and drench levels.
Daily winners will be announced throughout the half term and some lucky ‘super-splashers’ will receive a fantastic prize! Every contestant will receive a ‘splashtastic’ sticker to acknowledge their puddle jumping skills.
As well as the main puddle jumping competition arenas, there will be practice zones set up around the grounds to help entrants perfect their splashing techniques.
Time: Daily 9.30am to 5pm for practice puddles and 2pm - 3pm for the competition in Wellyboot Land.
Cost: All included in normal admission and free to members.
