WWT Washington

Welcome to Washington Wetland Centre

Get close to rare and exotic birds, mammals and different wetland habitats. Walk with a warden, bug hunt or tour the duckery. You’ll also see colourful flamingos and the rarest goose in the world

Our Chilean flamingo flock is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure in response to an outbreak of avian influenza in south Dorset. Although the outbreak is many miles away, Defra has advised all bird keepers to take precautions to prevent the spread of disease. As soon as the flamingos are safe to be outdoors again, we will let you know.
