We’re carefully managing the number of people on site and have a booking system in place. There are lots of hand sanitisers around our site for you to use as you go enter and leave various areas of our collection and wild reserve. Toilets will be available beside the play area and are cleaned daily. All gates, hand rails, benches and signage are also cleaned regularly by our team.
When you arrive, have a chat to our friendly team who are there to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have a fantastic day out. To limit touch points and keep you safe, we are only able to accept card payments at this time.
If you want to beat the queues why not arrive a little earlier in the day. We open at 10am. Early risers will be rewarded with the glorious sounds of spring bird song and a chance to catch our wetland wildlife waking. Or if you’d rather arrive later in the day, we are open until 5.30pm for you to have an early evening adventure.
All of our hides are now open with protective screens separating individual areas for each bubble. We also have a number of viewing platforms and screens should you prefer to enjoy taking in the scenery and soaking up the wildlife from an outdoor space. Please read our wildlife spotting hints and tips for the best places to find these. Spring is an amazing time to discover wetland wildlife and you can see a fantastic array of wildlife from the hides, footpaths, viewing screens and within our woodlands. Spring flowers are emerging too and Spring Gill is becoming a carpet of floral delight!
