We're Good to Go

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back and have everything in place so you have the best day out.

We’ve been accredited with the ‘Good to Go’ stamp of approval, which means we are operating within government guidelines and public health guidance for managing coronavirus risk.

We’re carefully managing the number of people on site and have a booking system in place. Doors are either open already or can be can be pushed open with hand sanitising stations available. Our toilets are open and cleaned regularly. All touch point surfaces in the centre and main hide are cleaned regularly throughout the day.

Arriving

When you arrive, have a chat to our friendly team of volunteers and staff who are there to answer any questions you may have and to ensure you have a fantastic day out. To limit touch points and keep you safe we're asking everyone to pay by card in the shop and cafe.

If you want to beat the queues why not arrive a little earlier in the day. Early risers will be rewarded with the glorious sounds of spring bird song and a chance to catch our wetland wildlife waking. Open 10am - 4pm daily.

Wildlife hides and spotting

All of our hides unfortunately need to stay closed for now, however we have a number of viewing platforms and screens so you can still get close to nature. Please read our where to see wildlife blog for the best places to find these. Spring is an amazing time to discover wetland wildlife and you can see a fantastic array of wildlife from the footpaths, we have opened our summer walk early to give you the most access around the site that we possibly can.

In line with government guidance are asking that face masks be worn in all indoor spaces, and we hope to be able to open our hides as close as possible to Monday 17 May.

Eat, drink, shop

We have a selection of take away hot and cold snacks, drinks and ice creams available from our cafe for you to enjoy on-the-go to fuel your wetland adventure(11am - 2pm). Outdoor seating is available. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and drink.

The retail shop is open offering a gorgeous selection of gifts, fun toys, informative books and good value bird food and feeding accessories (10am - 4pm).
