Water levels have again increased on the Ouse Washes, the Wash road A1101 is now closed. The main hide and wing hides are open. All other hides and footpaths are currently closed due to flooding. Swan feeds and hare walks are continuing as normal. We have an exciting programme of events and activities over the coming months, with plenty to see and do, we look forward to welcoming you for a visit.

East Anglian Puddle Jumping Championships

Date: Sat 15 February - Sun 23 February

This half term bring your friends and family and see who can make the biggest, craziest splash with our special ‘splashometer’ at our Puddle Jumping Championships.

Puddle jumping competition - 2-3pm each day of half term

There will be daily winners so get practicing your perfect splash in our warm up areas and check out the other splash-tastic fun activities we have on offer for a brilliant day out.

Dissect an owl pellet or build a bird feeder in the pond room, explore the reserve with our explorer backpacks and enjoy our commentated wild swan feeds.

Our Puddle Jumping event is included in the price of an admission ticket to WWT Welney, admission to the centre must have been purchased to take part in the event (free for members).
