Junior Wetland Rangers

Become a Junior Wetland Ranger this summer! Learn what it takes to care for our beautiful wetlands and help us with our daily mission to save wetland nature.

Time: 10am - 4pm daily
Wednesdays only - explore the moth trap with a guide from 10am.

Set off to explore our wild reserve and take part in fun activities to discover what makes wetlands amazing. It’s a wild day out for the whole family.

There's lots of wonderful activities to discover over the summer holidays, such as encountering the wildlife in different habitats on our wetlands!

Discover the fascinating creatures that live in our ponds through pond dipping. Search amongst the vegetation and wildflowers along the paths as you go bug hunting. Explore the moth trap with a guide to see the amazing variety of moths that have been attracted to the light overnight.

Dissect owl pellets to find out what the local owls have been feeding on. build a bird feeder to take home for the birds in your own garden.

Use all your senses to take in the peaceful sights, sounds and scents of nature. Meander out along the summer walk and sit amongst the flowers looking up at the clouds!
