This half term, kids are taking over our bird hides.
Borrow a pair of binoculars or get crafty and make your own. Discover the wild birds that live in our wetlands – and how to tell them apart. And let your imagination soar with our bird-themed activities.
Whether you’re a beginner with binoculars or a seasoned spotter, it’s the perfect time to step into our hides and discover something new.
Storytelling and eel craft with Elaine Macdonald, Sun 18 February, 1.30 & 2.30pm, 30 minutes each. Suitable for pre-school and primary age. Meet Elvie the eel and find out about her incredible story from local author Elaine Macdonald, make an eel spinner to take home as a token of your day. Sign up at the welcome desk.
Bird box building workshops, Mon 19, Tues 20 & Wed 21 February - 10-12 & 1-3pm

Public bird log day, Wed 15 February, all day
Meet the reserve team, ask them questions about how they look after our beautiful wetland wildlife and report in your bird sightings for the day to be included in our weekly bird log.
