Dragonfly Wednesday Workshops

Are you ready for a summer full of creativity and dragonfly adventure?
Join us every Wednesday for FREE family-friendly activities from pottery to robot dragonflies, there's something for everyone.
Workshops are every Wednesday during the school summer holidays and are included with centre admission. All workshops have a limited capacity and operate on a first-come, first-served basis so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Workshops take place in the Thames Water H2O building, situated in our courtyard.
For up-to-date information, please check our what's on board upon arrival. Unless otherwise stated, all workshops suitable for ages 6+ and younger children are welcome.
30 July - Dragonfly Electronics Craft Workshop with Matris Robotic
In this hands on workshop children can learn basic science and engineering concepts through building a simple circuit to create light up dragonfly eyes!
- Time: 10.30am, 12.00pm and 2:30 pm (Duration: 1 hour)
Matris Robotic is a UK-based educational institute specialising in hands-on STEM learning for children aged 4–16, offering structured courses in robotics, electronics, coding, AI, and project management. 6 August - Alice in Natureland
Can you zoom as fast, see as well or feast as ferociously as this flying champion of the wetlands? Lets see! In this action packed workshop your child will be immersed in the story of the dragonfly and its busy wetland life; testing their dragonfly skills, crafting their own wearable dragonfly accessories, painting a giant dragonfly, sowing seed to take home and building a dragonfly habitat that will be featured on Alice in Natureland’s Youtube series.
- Time:10.30-12 and 2-3.30pm (drop in and join when you can)
13 August - Robot Dragonflies with Matris Robotic
In this hands-on robotics workshop, children can design and build their own robot dragonfly! Each session blends play and engineering to spark curiosity and confidence in young innovators.
