Gather & Make: Seasonal paper-cut workshop
Gather inspiration from the season for this paper-cut art workshop
Create your own seasonal paper-cut artwork inspired by the landscapes of Steart Marshes with local paper artist Sam Pierpoint.
Date: Tuesday 8th September
Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm or 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Cost: £10 suggested donation to support our work, booking is essential.
This relaxed, hands-on workshop begins with a gentle wander through the reserve, where we’ll observe and gather inspiration from the plants, seed heads, grasses and textures of the season.
Back under shelter, you’ll transform what you’ve noticed into your own bold seasonal paper-cut poster to take home. With guidance on composition, shape and cutting techniques, you’ll be supported step by step, whether you’re completely new to paper-cutting or already love to craft.
This is a welcoming, creative session for adults, friends and families who’d like to slow down, enjoy the process of making, and connect more deeply with the season we are in.
Please note - we will be working outside on the nature reserve, so dress accordingly, sturdy shoes are recommended. All materials will be provided.
Where to meet: In the main WWT car park at Steart Marshes, Stert Drove, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 2PU.
