Simone Einfalt and Ralph Hoyte’s collaboration The Three Waters is an experiment in using interactive sound and moving image to respond to the liminal salt marsh environment of Steart Marshes. The Three Waters are Salt, Brackish and Fresh, with each Water becoming a character in its own right, representing the ever changing habitats. Visitors are invited to book in for one of the collective sound experiences mediated by linked autonomous speaker units on the marsh itself, and are also invited to visit the upcoming unique audio-visual gallery installations at East Quay and Bridgwater Art Centre between December 2026 - February 2027.
Please note – we will be working outside on the nature reserve, so dress accordingly, sturdy shoes are recommended. All materials are provided for the event.
Where to meet: Meet at the roundhouse, WWT Steart Marshes, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 2PU. (Ask a member of staff for directions).
