Meet the swans
As we approach winter, wild whooper swans are returning to Caerlaverock from their summer residence in Iceland. Some pairs will have had cygnets and will undertake the 800-mile journey together as a family.
On Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays we will give swan talks around 1pm. Enjoy as one of our team chats about the swans, WWT Caerlaverock, and wetland restoration, from the comfort of the Peter Scott Observatory. Then, watch as the swans are fed. Experience the sights and sounds of the swans and look out for other species including teal, wigeon, and tufted ducks.
Please note the swans are fed on days without a talk around 1pm. Feel free to watch however there will be no commentated talk.
