Opening days and times

We are open five days a week, Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm (last admission at 3pm). The site will be closed to all visitors (including members) on Sunday and Monday.

Please note we'll be closed over Christmas from Sunday 21 December, back open on Tuesday 30 December.

Admission prices

Prices below are shown inclusive of Gift Aid and without. The Gift Aid admission price includes a voluntary donation, which enables us to claim the tax back as part of the Government's Gift Aid scheme.

Food and drink

There are places to picnic outdoors, and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments and packed lunches. Drinking water will be available in the visitor centre. You are also welcome to use the visitor centre to shelter and eat your own food. However, our cafe and shop will no longer be available.

Visitor centre

The visitor centre is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, for admissions to the wetland reserve, for members and paying visitors. You will be able to find out information about the reserve and your visit in the centre. Last admission at 3pm.

You are also welcome to use the visitor centre to shelter and enjoy your own refreshments and packed lunches. However, our cafe and shop will no longer be available.

Accessibility

All our Wetland Centres exist to fulfil founder Peter Scott’s vision of connecting people with nature, so we make it a principle that our wetlands and wildlife are accessible to everyone.

Dogs

Unfortunately we can't allow dogs or pets of any kind on site, with the exception of trained assistance dogs, as our wildlife may become distressed. Trained assistance dogs are welcome but must be kept on their lead and under control at all times. Please ensure any dog waste is removed. If any of our birds/animals behaviour is affected by the presence of your dog, we respectfully ask that you understand that we may have to ask you to move away from the area.
