Iridescence Art Installation Launch

Join us for a morning of hands-on creativity and reflection at WWT London to celebrate the launch of our brand-new art installation- Iridescence

Iridescence Art Installation Launch

Led by artists Tony Broomhead and Nicky Kirk and poet Holly Foskett-Barnes, visitors can take part in two free workshops where you can make and create your own dragonfly-inspired artwork and poetry.

These sessions invite you to explore the beauty of dragonflies, nature, and the wetlands through art and words.

Dragonfly-Making Workshop

Craft your own iridescent dragonfly sculpture using sustainable materials, and bring it to life at our parade in the afternoon.

Poetry & Reflection Workshop

Write a short poem inspired by the wetland landscape and our new artwork Iridescence.

Date: Sunday 20th July

Time:10:15–11:25am

Location: H2O in courtyard

Free, included with admission to the centre.

These relaxed sessions are open to all, no experience needed!

Join us in the afternoon from 1.00pm for a procession to the Iridescence sculpture

  • Get your face painted as a dragonfly
  • Hear from the artists and enjoy a short poetry reading to close

This joyful event is suitable for all ages and invites you to experience the wonder of wetlands in a whole new way.

Bring your handmade dragonfly from the morning session or come just to enjoy the atmosphere and join in the celebration!

Meet in the courtyard at 1.00pm.
