Open Day 2018
Yesterday was our second annual open day here at Steart Marshes. We were treated to a beautiful sunny day and plenty of visitors came along to learn about the site and enjoy the activities.
Yesterday was our second annual open day here at Steart Marshes. We were treated to a beautiful sunny day and plenty of visitors came along to learn about the site and enjoy the activities.
Our volunteers worked hard running the information stand, demonstrating our working wetland model, pond dipping, and leading walks, talks and birdwatching.
Visitors had the opportunity to meet the livestock - the lambs and calves proved popular!
We had spinning demonstrations and peg loom weaving using fleece from sheep that grazed the reserve last year.
Thanks to everyone that made the 2018 open day such a successful event.
