Upcoming habitat management works on the reserve August 2024
August 12th-16th August 20th-23rd
Please note that there will be essential annual works in operation in the next few weeks in the following areas:
August 12th-16th Wader scrape - cutting back vegetation and hay cutting on the East Bank.
August 20th-23rd Main lake - cutting back vegetation on islands and collection.
These habitats are being managed for the benefit of autumn passage waders and wintering waterbirds e.g. Common Snipe, Jack Snipe, Teal, Green Sandpiper.
