2 Swift - very high over main lake

2 Swallow - flying north

50+ Sand Martin - over site

8 House Martin - over site

1 Lesser Whitethroat - singing on the main lake south shore

Breeding bird survey 18/4 (singing birds) - Cetti's Warbler (16), Reed Warbler (43), Sedge Warbler (6), Chiffchaff (8), Blackcap (15), Reed Bunting (4), Song Thrush (4), Blackbird (8), Greenfinch (5)

Butterflies and other insects (April)- Tawny Mining Bee, White-tailed Bumblebee, Honey Bee, Buff-tailed Bumblebee, Ashy Mining Bee, Grey-patched Mining Bee, Red-tailed Bumblebee, Tree Bumblebee, Green Hairstreak, Peacock, Red Admiral, Brimstone, Small White, Large White, Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, Speckled Wood, Orange-tip, Holly Blue, Bee-fly, Hoverfly sp., Large Red Damselfly, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Hairy Dragonfly.
