Learn why wetlands are amazing in our revamped Discovery Centre

There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained in our new Discovery Centre. The fun and informative interactive play zone is the perfect place to spend a rainy (or sunny!) day.

There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained in our new Discovery Centre. The fun and informative interactive play zone is the perfect place to spend a rainy (or sunny!) day.

Explore wetlands and water use in cities with our new games. Race against the clock to guess how much water you use at home, and find out simple ways to save water. Shoot ‘raindrops’ into the river to stop them mixing with the dirty sewer water and test your building skills in our tiny town by creating wetlands and a dam to protect the village from flooding.

Our Senior Designer, Lisa, was behind the Discovery Centre’s new look. She designed the bold new graphics and friendly wetland characters to brighten the space and put a clear focus on water and sustainability.

“Updating the Discovery Centre was a great project – who doesn’t love a game of hop-splosh? We worked on making the games more accessible while establishing a clear wetlands context. We wanted the new graphics to be bold, colourful and something visitors would engage with. It was great to see it all come together – I’m proud of what we achieved as a team and I hope our visitors have as much fun using the space as we did creating it.”
