WWT Arundel is Good to Go

Posted on 20 Jul 2020

At Arundel Wetland Centre the safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is a priority and we are delighted to say that we have been accredited with the “We’re Good to Go” stamp of approval.

“We’re Good To Go” is a UK wide industry standard which has been developed in partnership with Visit England, Tourism Northern Ireland, Visit Scotland and Visit Wales.

Our accreditation means you can rest assured that we are doing everything to ensure we operate within the relevant government and public health guidance, and have carried out a coronavirus risk assessment.

To help keep everyone safe and manage numbers on site we have introduced an online booking system. Everyone, whether a WWT member or not, must pre-book before visiting.

In summer our gorgeous wetland nature reserve bursts forth with wild life, wild flowers and amazing dragonflies and butterflies. The reserve includes a boardwalk through the towering reedbeds with stunning views. The wide, paved walkways lead to collection of 50 species of wildfowl from around the world in natural settings and 6 open wildlife hides with ramps for easy access.

Currently the Pond Skater play area for under 8s is open with posted guidance about numbers of adults and children permitted entry at any one time.

The Water’s Edge Cafe is offering a take-a-way service of snacks and hot & cold drinks, with pasties and sausage rolls.Gluten free cakes and vegan pasties are also available. The WWT gift shop is open each day, every penny you spend supports conservation, here in Sussex, the UK and worldwide as the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust works to save wetlands for wild life and people.

Arundel Wetland Centre is open daily from 10am-4pm.
