Competition terms and conditions

Regarding the competition into which you have entered ("THE COMPETITION")

1. Who Are We? For all queries or issues with the Competition, please email: info.london@wwt.org.uk

2. Who has the final decision on our Competitions? In the event of any fault, misunderstanding, mistake or dispute concerning the operation of the Competition, including the correctness or acceptability of any answers given by a Winner (as defined in Term 4), or the operation of any technical/communications system, our decision shall be final.

3. What terms, conditions and rules apply to the Competition?
3.1. These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all Competitions run by WWT unless otherwise advised. Any persons who breach them may be excluded from access to the Competition.
3.2 Entries are restricted to one entry per person.
3.3 Entries must be received by the deadline set out in the relevant Competition (the "Competition Period"). Any entries received after this period will not be entered.
3.4 If you are under 18, you must have the consent of your parents or legal guardian to take part in the Competition.
3.5 Employees of London Wetland Centre and Visit Richmond (and their family members) or any company involved in the Competition are excluded from entering and any entry will not be considered.

4. We will select a single winner at random from all entrants who have entered their contact details.

5. Prize
5.1. The prize for the Competition is set out in the relevant Competition ("Prize").
5.2. We will notify the Winners by email no later than the date set out in the relevant Competition (“Announcement Date”).
5.3. The Winner’s name will be announced via London Wetland Centre and Visit Richmond social media accounts on the date set out in the relevant Competition.
5.4. We will not be liable if a Prize fails to reach a Winner, or a Winner cannot take a Prize, or delivery of a Prize is delayed.
5.5. No alternative prizes will be given and each Prize is non-exchangeable.
5.6. All personal details and information must be truthful and accurate.
5.7. We reserve the right to disqualify any person from the Competition and/or withdraw any Prize should they at any stage supply any untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and information.
5.8. It is the responsibility of the Winner to pay any and all applicable taxes on the Prize.

6. What if my entry is lost? If we do not receive an entry from you for the Competition then we cannot enter you, regardless of whether you submitted the entry to us. Also, if we receive an entry from you that is incomplete or otherwise deficient, for example an answer that does not comply with the method set out in Term 2 above, we may not be able to enter you. We will not accept proof that an entry was entered as proof that we received it.

7. How far are we liable or responsible to you?
7.1. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by the law. These Terms also do not affect the rights that are granted to you as a consumer by the law. Otherwise, we will not be liable to you for any matter relating to the Competition.
7.2. We will also not be liable to any person for financial loss or inconvenience because of the failures of persons or systems that we do not directly control – for example, mobile phone network operators, internet service providers, postal services, software providers and telephone traffic handlers.

8. How will we use your personal details?
8.1 We will use your personal details for the purposes of: (a) operating the Competition and processing your Competition entry; (b) posting your name on social media and /or the dedicated webpage for the Competition should you win the Competition; (c) dealing with any enquiries or complaints; and (d) notifying you of news about our company, products, and/or upcoming products. Entering the Competition constitutes your agreement to this use of your personal data.
8.2. Where we want to use your personal details for purposes other than those in Term 8.1 above (such as publicity surrounding the Competition) we will offer you the opportunity to agree or to refuse this.
8.3. Your personal information will be treated in accordance with our privacy policy and in accordance with the law of the UK as it relates to people’s personal information.
