Great count of Snipe on the marsh and scrape
Today's Wetland Bird Survey (Webs) found 20 Snipe along with Jack Snipe and a pair of Stonechat

First Little Ringed Plover of the spring spotted
A very early Little Ringed Plover spotted on the main lake (1105hrs). Also a pair of Shelduck looking interested in the newly refurbished nest box on the wader scrape bank.

Valentine's day birding
Water Pipit feeding close into the Peacock Tower, with 5 Pintail showing well in the February sunshine. 4 Bittern spotted by the end of the day with birds having moved to the reservoir lagoon shore.
