Upcoming habitat management works on the reserve in August 2026
We will be carrying out annual habitat management in these areas during August:-
wader scrape - August 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th
main lake - August 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th
Removing vegetation from islands and muddy areas to maintain these habitats for passage and wintering waders and ducks, like Snipe, Green Sandpiper, Jack Snipe and Shoveler. Also some island creation work on the main lake.
