Wildlife Sightings for 25th August 2025
Garden Warbler and Lesser Whitethroat heard. Lots of Warblers passing through. Whinchat and seven Snipe on marsh.

3 Green Sandpiper - marsh, wader scrape
2 Hobby - over marsh
1 Whinchat - marsh
1 Garden warbler - wildside
1 Lesser Whitethroat - wildside
5 Willow Warbler - across site
22 Blackcap - across site
19 Chiffchaff - across site
Gadwall, Teal and Pochard numbers all beginning to increase on site.
Butterflies and dragonflies (mid-August) - Red Admiral, Brimstone, Small White, Green-veined White, Large White, Comma, Speckled Wood, Common Blue, Brown Argus, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Small red-eyed Damselfly, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Common Darter, Ruddy Darter, Black-tailed Skimmer, Brown Hawker.
