Wildlife Sightings for 22nd August 2025
Green Sandpipers on the wader scrape. Duck numbers increasing. Hobbies hunting overhead.

2 Kestrel - south route
2 Hobby - main lake
1 Whitethroat - sheltered lagoon
10+ Chiffchaff - west and south routes
20+ Reed Warbler - west and south routes
3 Blackcap - sheltered lagoon
Gadwall, Teal and Pochard numbers all beginning to increase on site.
Butterflies and dragonflies (mid-August) - Red Admiral, Brimstone, Small White, Green-veined White, Large White, Comma, Speckled Wood, Common Blue, Brown Argus, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Blue-tailed Damselfly, Common Blue Damselfly, Small red-eyed Damselfly, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Common Darter, Ruddy Darter, Black-tailed Skimmer, Brown Hawker.
