Get creative weaving with wonderful willow, with artist Jane Fletcher!

Date: Saturday 4th July

Time: 1.00pm - 3.00pm

Cost: £10 suggested donation to support our work, booking is essential

Spend a couple of relaxing hours in a beautiful setting surrounded by wildlife, which will inspire our creativity for making a wonderful willow bird sculpture. Bring your feathered friend to life by following simple sculpture free-weaving techniques around small hoops and simple framework. Get the opportunity to add your own personal flair by using different colours of willow and your own perspectives of your chosen species. Take home a truly unique piece of willow art, while having a fabulous relaxing time being inspired by nature. All materials will be provided.

Please note - we will be working outside on the nature reserve, so dress accordingly, sturdy shoes are recommended.

About the artist: 

Artist Jane Fletcher of 'Really Useful Plants' has been weaving and sculpting with willow and working with natural materials for over 20 years. Her crafting began as an interest in traditional rural skills and has driven her passion of sharing the enjoyment of the natural world, plants and heritage crafts in therapeutic, wellbeing, and educational community engagement.
