Get creative weaving with wonderful willow with artist Jane Fletcher!

Date: Saturday 4th July

Time: 10.00am-12.00pm

Cost: £10 suggested donation to support our work, booking is essential

Spend a couple of hours making a flat-weave style wildflower inspired by our natural surroundings. Using different willows and natural materials create an individual and unique woven willow craft piece for your garden or home.

Bending and weaving willows around a central form is a basic basketry technique and a lovely way to explore the use of willow for craft.

A relaxing and creative experience for all levels. All materials will be provided,

Please note - we will be working outside on the nature reserve, so dress accordingly, sturdy shoes are recommended.

About the artist: 

Artist Jane Fletcher of 'Really Useful Plants' has been weaving and sculpting with willow and working with natural materials for over 20 years. Her crafting began as an interest in traditional rural skills and has driven her passion of sharing the enjoyment of the natural world, plants and heritage crafts in therapeutic, wellbeing, and educational community engagement.
