Chilean flamingos

ℹ️ Flamingos off show
Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!
Thanks for your understanding.

First goldeneye of the season

One barnacle goose on Wader Lake today. Possibly attracted onto the lake due to the high water level?

A lone goldeneye present on 14 and 15 October is the first of the autumn.

I also had great views of two siskin feeding with a flock of goldfinch on the niger seed at Hawthorn Wood feeding station.
