High tides should flood lagoon
We're expecting high tides of more than 5 metres from this afternoon until Sunday, meaning the River Wear should flood into the saline lagoon.
This is never guaranteed ('tis nature after all!) but if you visit the habitat half an hour before the following tide times, you'll have the best chance of seeing the spectacle of the Wear rushing in.
