Chilean flamingos off show

Our Chilean flamingo flock is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to avian influenza (bird flu). We will let you know as soon as they are safe to be outdoors. Thank you for your understanding.

Plus a reed warbler and a chiffchaff in the filter reedbed; a black cap and a sedge warbler on East Down and 10+ swallow over site.

 

Invertebrates - a silver ground carpet moth at the Prince's Trust Hide.

Flora - ragged robin, northern marsh orchid, yellow rattle, common vetch and ox-eye daisy throughout the reserve.
