Chilean flamingos

Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!

Today's wildlife highlights (including a dragonfly site first)

Wader Lake (AM, low tide)

1 greenshank

2 common sandpiper

14 redshank

90 lapwing

2 common snipe

15 teal

6 gadwall

7 tufted duck (plus 3 ducklings)

Plus, at the amphibian ponds, an emerald damselfy and a black darter dragonfly - the latter we believe to be a site first!
