No access to saline lagoon 27/08/25 only

A small section of our outer circuit will be closed all day on Wed 27 August whilst we conduct some emergency repairs on our visitor access gate. This means that Lagoon View Hide, the Lookout and river viewpoint will be inaccessible . Hawthorn Wood Hide remains accessible via the path past the reservoir. There may be some distant noise created by these works which might be heard from this hide only.

River Wear and river footpath:

Grey heron 2

Redpoll 1

Plus a grey wagtail on the stream channel and grey squirrels in Hawthorn Wood and at the amphibian ponds.
