Wildlife Sightings 05/03/2026
- A Little Egret made a surprise appearance today, below the busy heronry. A striking white flash among the activity of the nesting Grey Heron.
The Spruce and Blackthorn trees are now in flower, adding fresh colour and texture to the reserve.
- Insects have also been noted today a Tree Bumblebee buzzing around the early blossoms and a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly seen on the wing a sure sign the season is turning.
