Chilean flamingos

Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!

White wagtail family on passage (2 adults and 3 juveniles)

 

Saline lagoon:

Hawthorn Wood feeding station:

A great black-backed gull on the River Wear

A song thrush in Hollowood

Five blackbirds in Hollowood

A great-spotted woodpecker in Hollowood

Two shoveler on the reservoir
