The fungi season is upon is! Time to not only look up to the skies for the migration of geese and swans but also keep a keen eye on the earth underfoot as the Bloody Brittlegill mushrooms, Shaggy Inkcaps and Common Puffball fungi are starting to spring up along some of the fence lines and meadows on the reserve, which means it won’t be look to lots of toadstool and spooky fruiting bodies start appearing along the woodchip paths, other meadows as grass cutting gets underway and deadwood stumps across the meadows :) Happy spotting the fungi foray and welcome to the spooky season at WWT Washington!
