Bird Watch Morning Sightings - 26th February

Lovely bright morning for this month’s bird watch morning at Castle Espie with Dot Bleakley.

The collection in Close Encounters is looking terrific with lots of displaying and calling.

They certainly think that spring has sprung!

Round the woodlands today there are lots of singing woodland birds, chaffinches, robins, blue tits with the gold crest in fine voice. Hearing a goldfinch is quite special and a treat for all who attended.

Elsewhere in the woods the blackbirds looking for mates and a tree-creeper gave great views climbing up the tree to find tiny insects.

Next birdwatch morning is Thursday 26th March at 10:30am.
