Glaucous gull - winter visitor

Glaucous gull by Ray Mathias

When the marsh harrier is away, the gull.....gets its lunch?  This glaucous gull is a winter visitor to the UK.  Even this youngster is huge in size, it is worth checking through the gulls to see if you can spot this individual.  You need to look out for the pale wing tips, biscuit coloured plumage and large beak with a black tip to it.  These fantastic views of the glaucous gull were captured by Media Volunteer, Ray Mathias.
