By bus

There is a service from Littlehampton (Route 9) once an hour to the Arundel town centre, followed by a gentle mile's walk along Mill Road to the centre. Follow the instructions on how to get to the centre 'On Foot' listed below.

Compass bus operates the number 85 bus service from Chichester to Arundel, Mon-Sat. There is no bus service directly to the wetland centre

By rail

Arundel train station is situated approximately half a mile from the town. If you are traveling from the direction of Brighton or Chichester you will have to change trains at Ford or Barnham. There are direct trains to Arundel from Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and all stations on the Arun Valley Line through to London Victoria.

Castle Cars (01903 884444) are based at the rail station if you want to book a taxi.

On foot

Arundel Wetland Centre is a lovely 25 minute walk (1.3 miles) from the rail station. At the station follow the signs to the footpath to the town centre that bypasses the A27.

From Arundel town centre turn right onto Mill Road at roundabout where the post office is located. Follow the footpath on either side of Mill Road towards Arundel Wetland Centre. There is no footpath on Mill Road once you get to the stone bridge at the Mill Stream. Cross the Mill Stream via the pedestrian footbridge located to the right of the bridge. Follow this footpath straight ahead along the boundary fence of Arundel Wetland Centre (not along the stream). The footpath runs parallel with the Mill Road. Exit the footpath opposite Swanbourne Lodge - last 200 yards of your walk will be on the road. Note that there is no street lighting along sections of the route so caution is needed in hours of darkness.

By bike

The centre is just off the South Downs Way cycle route and the Sustrans National Route 2. Download a map here.

By car

On approaching Arundel by road, visitors should follow the brown duck signs down Mill Road, beside Arundel Castle. There is free car parking on site.
