New members

: Yes, we'd love to welcome you to our sites. Whilst you wait for your membership card to arrive, simply turn up at a WWT site on the day and please bring along your welcome confirmation email. Please get in touch if you have any questions about your new membership.

: Unfortunately, you are unable to edit your membership order after it has been submitted. However, please contact us and we will see what we can do to help.

: We will claim your Direct Debit either on or around 1st or 15th of each month. This means that sometimes your first payment may include more than one month's payment and be on a different day to your regular payment. You will receive a Direct Debit confirmation letter in the post from us after you've joined which will confirm the amount and date of each instalment.

Payments and billing

: We will claim your Direct Debit either on or around 1st or 15th of each month. If the 1st or 15th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, we will claim your membership just after.

: Please make your cheque payable to WWT.

By monthly or annual Direct Debit - paying by monthly Direct Debit costs the same as paying in one go, but the cost is split over 12 months. It reduces our admin costs, meaning your support will go that bit further.

If you would like to change how you pay for your membership, you can do this when you renew your membership or please contact us.

: Paying by monthly Direct Debit not only means smaller outgoings for you, but it also helps wetland wildlife too, by lowering our admin costs. That's great news as it means more can go towards vital conservation.

: So that you can visit straightaway, your membership is activated from the day you sign up as a member. We will claim your Direct Debit either on or around 1st or 15th of each month. : If you pay monthly or annually by Direct Debit, your membership will automatically be renewed each year and we will contact you to let you know just before your renewal date. If you pay by debit/credit card or cheque, we will send you a renewal reminder before your renewal date.

: To update your payment details, you can do this online here or please get in touch. If you have a joint membership, the person who pays for the membership will need to contact us directly.

: We're sorry that your payment hasn't gone through - please get in touch and we can try again.

: From May 2026, you will no longer be able to use CAF Vouchers and CharityCards to pay for your membership. This is because CAF are discontinuing them. You'll still be able to pay by switching to online or phone donations from your CAF account. Visit CAF's website to find out more.

Gift Aid

To be eligible for Gift Aid, you need to be the person purchasing the membership and a UK taxpayer. If you are joining as a family, both adult members must live at the same address if you choose to Gift Aid your membership. We are unable to claim Gift Aid on gift memberships. : Please get in touch and we'll be happy to help if you wish to cancel your Gift Aid declaration. Your Gift Aid will be cancelled from the day you notify us. Find out more information about Gift Aid.

Membership cards

: At WWT, we are committed to reducing our impact and working towards more sustainable alternatives. We are currently reviewing how we issue membership cards. For now, rather than sending you a new membership card every year, we only replace cards if they're lost or if you change membership category. If you need a new membership card, please contact us.

Managing your membership online

You will need to be the payer for the membership, and know your email address and postcode associated with the membership. A verification code will be sent via email, so please ensure you have access to this email address.

: Yes you can! Please log in here to update your name, postal address and email address. As well as update how you'd like to hear from us. If you encounter any issues, our friendly Supporter Services team are on hand to help. Please get in touch.

Yes, you can renew online if eligible and within your renewal period*. You will need to be the membership payer to do this. Don't worry, we'll send you a letter or email when it's time to renew as a reminder.

* You will be able to renew if your membership is due for renewal within 60 days or if your membership expired in the last 90 days.

: Yes, if you've received a renewal letter you can fill in the form and return it to us in the freepost envelope. Or you can call us on 01453 891198 or email supporter@wwt.org.uk.

: Thank you for increasing your support! Yes, you can add a new or additional top-up to your membership donation, as well as remove a top-up online.

: Sorry, at the moment you cannot change to a different membership category online. Please get in touch to make changes. If you have a joint membership and wish to change category, the person who pays for the membership will need to contact us.

: We're sorry you're thinking about cancelling your membership. You can cancel your membership at any time by contacting us or by calling 01453 891198. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the membership term.

: Yes, that's no problem to do online. If you currently pay by Direct Debit, you can switch between annual and monthly payments.
