Admiral
WWT is delighted to be partnering with Admiral in a collaboration that highlights the financial services company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate resilience. Admiral has made a significant contribution to our Climate Resilience Fund (CRF), and is proud to be supporting WWT’s vital work to protect and restore the UK's wetland habitats.

Why Climate Resilience is important to Admiral
In recent years, the UK has faced unprecedented climate challenges, with warmer summers, wetter winters, and extreme weather events becoming more frequent. These changes pose significant threats to wetland habitats and the species that depend on them.
Admiral’s support for the CRF is helping to protect vital wetland habitats and also contributes to the broader fight against climate change.
The £150,000 funding donated, will support a range of projects across WWT's reserves, from habitat restoration and species monitoring to flood management and community engagement.
Admiral’s support for the CRF will enable us to undertake essential activities such as:
- Enabling the continued work of reserve teams to care for and manage wetland habitats.
- Carrying out desilting and tree maintenance to maintain clear waterways and support specialist wildlife.
- Conducting ecological surveys and botanical studies to monitor and enhance biodiversity.
- Implementing conservation grazing and hedge-cutting to protect wild habitats and waterways.
The impact of this partnership is already being felt across WWT's reserves. From the successful breeding of Bearded Tits, a brown, long-tailed bird at Steart Marshes to the restoration of wet grasslands at Welney. These initiatives not only benefit wildlife but also enhance the natural beauty and ecological value of these sites, making them more enjoyable for visitors and local communities.
We believe that by working together, we can unlock the power of wetlands and help nature burst back to life.
