Take a Walk on the Wild Side
Our summer walk is now open; starting at the Peter Scott Observatory, you can wind your way through our wildflower meadow and out alongside the Lochar Water in part of the reserve only open to the public at this time of year. At the moment there are breeding birds singing, plenty of caterpillars feeding and butterflies starting to appear. Soon we will see dragonflies and wildflowers springing into life!
Badger Cam & Osprey Cam
Don't miss our live feed from the Badger Feeding Station. As it gets dark, watch the Badgers emerge to feed on peanuts and honey. http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/experience/webcams/caerlaverock-whooper-swans-and-badgers/
We now have live footage of our Osprey nest on the screen in the Visitor Centre and live on the website between 10am and 5pm. The pair have 3 eggs which should begin hantching in a few weeks and you can see it all from the comfort of our coffee shop and your home. http://www.wwt.org.uk/wetland-centres/experience/webcams/caerlaverock-ospreys/
